Good Day Members and future members of Canadian Haflinger Association.
This letter is a reminder to renew your CHA membership in order to participate in the AGM in March and to vote on the board positions that are vacant.
To renew, please go to the CHA website https://canadianhaflinger.ca and go to CHA Forms. This takes you to the Canadian Livestock Records Corporation. There at the top of the page you will see a Renew Membership and Join My Association buttons. Inflation has not altered the cost of a CHA membership. Join today!
The nominating committee encourages you to consider a place on the Canadian Haflinger Board of Directors. There are two board positions that are vacant.
The board consists of 5 directors and every year one or two board members complete their three year tenure. The role of the board is to manage the Canadian Haflinger Pedigree, encourage new membership, educate the members on issues that are particular to Haflingers and assist members with registering horses and transfers. This is an exciting volunteer position. We meet by a zoom call, one evening a month for 1.5 hours. Any current member of CHA who owns a Canadian Registered Haflinger is eligible to be a board member.
To be nominated, you may email a letter of intent and a short biography of your involvement with Haflingers to the nomination committee chair, David Johnson, nuview1@hotmail.com .
Nominations close on Feb 15 2023 and further communication on voting will be sent out to the membership.
The Canadian Haflinger Association AGM will be March 18, 2023 at 1 pm EST. Those who live in Ontario may want to attend the Ontario Haflinger Association meeting which will be held the same day.
If you are receiving this letter by Canada Post, please consider sending us your email address as email is the efficient method of communication for a volunteer organization.
Sincerely,
Gillian Allan
(secretary)
Gillian Allan
