Canadian Haflinger Association Versatility Awards
To promote the versatility of the Haflinger Breed, the CHA Versatility Awards will showcase the variety of ways that these beautiful, intelligent and hard-working horses can play a role. Versatility award programs are designed to acknowledge owners and horses for participation in activities not just inside the show ring, but everywhere else too. The emphasis is on participation, not competition or performance.
Points can be earned in five categories of activities throughout the year, which will be reviewed by the CHA Board and awards will be announced at the Annual General Meeting the following spring.
Categories of Activities:
1) Competitive Activities: horse shows, driving competitions, dressage competitions, hunter/jumper, eventing, rodeo events, pony club events, gymkhana, horse pulls, etc.
2) Non-competitive/Recreational Activities: clinic participation, 4H and pony clubs, trail rides, pleasure riding, wagon/sleigh rides, horse improvement programs, judging training/demonstrations, etc.
3) Public Appearances/Promotional Events: parades, driving demonstrations, open houses, breed demonstrations, weddings, media appearances, historical exhibits, etc.
